I could say that this place is also for those people have a heart in sport and willing to give the sacrifices for one goal "the championship". Soaring Falcon will always take the risk, of course for the sake of our campus and for all adamsonians. You can find the gym inside the adamson behind the SV building near head quarter of ROTC. Injuries, fires ring in Philippine New Year

MANILA (AFP) - – The Philippines brought in the New Year in custom rowdy fashion on Saturday with firecrackers and celebratory gunfire that left at least two dead and hundreds injured, authorities said.

A series of blazes that erupted at various sites in the capital Manila also kept the fire department busy throughout the night as parties led to brawls and stabbing incidents.

The health department said 546 people were injured by firecrackers, and at least 20 injured by stray bullets.

Police said a woman hit by a stray bullet later died in hospital while another person died after ingesting a firecracker, according to the health department.

"I don't want to play with firecrackers anymore," cried a young boy as he was treated for burns to the eyes at the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Centre in downtown Manila, according to an AFP photographer.

Many other victims, mostly children, were awaiting their turn at the emergency and trauma ward, which was on heightened alert in anticipation of New Year-related injuries.

There were also several patients with stab wounds sustained at brawls in New Year's Eve parties, the hospital said.

Health Undersecretary David Lozada said 95 percent of those injured were either children, drunk men or spectators who veered too close to fireworks.

Meanwhile the fire department said blazes broke out at various sites around Manila, including a university, an apartment building and an abandoned residential area.

There were no reports of casualties from the fires, most of which were caused by fireworks.

One of the most important thing is the new and fresh information for everyday.

Did something happen recently or did we just learn about it?  If so, that could make it newsworthy.  The meaning of “recently” varies depending on the medium, of course.  For a weekly news magazine, anything that happened since the previous edition the week before may be considered timely.  For sample a 24-hour cable news channel, the timeliest news may be “breaking news,” or something that is happening this very minute and can be covered by a reporter live at the scene.

The dynamics of cultural production in the digital age, and gender and consumer culture

In today's world, consumers expect that news, at least in a general, widely available format, to be free. There's little loyalty related to news brands because, if payment were required, for sample four out of five adults would change providers.

A daily newspaper is issued every day, sometimes with the exception of Sundays and some holidays Saturday and, where they exist, Sunday editions of daily newspapers tend to be larger, include more specialized sections and advertising inserts, and cost more. Typically, the majority of these newspapers’ staff work Monday to Friday, so the Sunday and Monday editions largely depend on content done in advance or content that is syndicated. For me it depends of the readers how to appreciate the news that they going to read. It is either fresh news or old news will published, the most important thing is the spirit of being journalist and heart for deliver the news are there using or not using the technology.
